The outsourced marketing becomes part of your team, and your mission, to get results.
Sepsis Research’s brief was simple when they appointed us in 2018 as their out-sourced marketing function: to further its mission as the UK’s only sepsis research charity. Its mission? To #stopsepsisnow and raise awareness and funding for the research of this life-threatening disease.

Our Approach
Because we know there is no success without strategically planning the elements of an awareness-raising campaign, and all its wonderful elements of social media, digital, brand, and storytelling, we got to work pronto by setting out objectives and a detailed plan for the next twelve months.
It was important to prioritise the key activities that would enforce the central call to action: to donate. A significant part of this was to improve the charity’s public face, so we built a new website in-house and developed a content plan to drive interest across social media channels and strike a chord with the public. We refreshed the brand and launched regular email communications to donors, as well as supported the in-house team to maximise a partnership opportunity with the Scottish Government, resulting in the first Scotland-wide public awareness campaign of sepsis since repeated.

Our Solution
Oh, and we joined in the KiltWalk to help raise money too, not just because we were part of the team, but because we were committed to the wider mission. And when we commit to something, we commit 100%.
People now donate £1000s to Sepsis Research. How did we achieve that? By sky-rocketing the charity’s social media following and engagement. Facebook impressions increased over 300% in six months and Twitter impressions topped a 900% increase. But it was supporting the whole extended team and putting thought-out strategies in place that was also key to the success of this incredibly rewarding project.
