Tactran

Angus, Dundee City, Perth & Kinross and Stirling - Scotland

Team Flourish is celebrating after winning a contract to be the digital partner to lead, manage and deliver paid and organic campaign support for Tactran.

Tactran’s remit is expansive. It encompasses all things transport and drives across investment in both rail and strategic road improvements.

Our Approach

Tactran is also involved in park and ride, improving travel information, and planning and enabling the effective movement of freight across the region.

Our friends at Tactran also lead the way in the Regional Transport Vision for their region – covering the swathes of Scotland that are Angus, Dundee City, Perth & Kinross and Stirling.

But they also have a consumer facing brand, Get-on-the-Go that encourages the local population and visitors to adopt more sustainable ways of getting about the region – modes such as walking, cycling, lift-sharing catching the bus or getting on the train.

And with 58% of Scotland’s population walking at least five days a week, we think they’re onto a sure bet. Especially considering that the region boasts major tourist destinations such as Loch Lomond, the Cairngorms, Blair Drummond, V&A and the Wallace Monument.

Our Solution

They have asked Flourish to promote sustainable and active transport messaging to grow the reach of existing projects from their Regional Transport Strategy (RTS).

All of this will involve:

  • Social media management, development and growth.
  • Campaign development to push key messaging to wider audiences within the Tactran region
  • Digital promotion of Tactran and partner activity, as well as being reactive to relevant news and developments.
  • Building relationships with transport organisations through the concentrated advocacy of the brand.
  • Social Listening monitoring to track consumer sentiment towards active travel.

As part of this, we will raise awareness of sustainable and active transport messages, the projects related to the RTS pillars and advocating behavioural change. We will also promote the “Get On The Go” sustainable transport campaign with Tactran and its three local authorities.

No organic strategy would be complete without us managing social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as well as researching content, and then of course, writing and then sharing that fine content.

The day job will also mean that we will respond to emerging news and updates and support these too. We will also come up with a monthly plan and report with analytics to show Tactran the fruits of our hard work. We hold regular catch-up calls with all key stakeholders and keep in regular contact with local interest groups to ensure we are catching all key activity throughout the region – this allows our channels to become a hub for locals to find out how they and their families can get involved.

As part of all of this, Flourish will ensure digital channels are working hard to reach the target audiences; help increase brand awareness and solidify positioning; integrate the key communication messages through all activity; and build a solid foundation of awareness through owned channels – all to get people moving more sustainably.

We will wrap this up by using social listening tools to track keywords across all social channels within these areas to find out how attitudes and behaviors towards sustainable travel are evolving and changing.

We’re looking forward to getting on the go to deliver and take people places in the heart of Scotland with Tactran.
