Merchant City Festival
The Merchant City Festival is a massive annual event in Glasgow.
Spread across 5 days, it features over 300 events held at 70 different venues. The agency, Flourish, was brought in to raise awareness and significantly grow visitor numbers.
The scale of this event required managing multiple moving parts and complex stakeholder relationships.
The focus was on maximising consumer exposure and creating a cohesive marketing strategy within the available resources.
The Result
The strategy was a major success, achieving record attendance in 2012 and then breaking those records again with even higher numbers in 2013. This project laid the foundation for the agency to deliver many more large-scale events in the years that followed.
