Get to know us…

Tell us about the part of your job which makes your soul happy – that you enjoy more than anything else.

My happy space is strategy – I’m such a nerd! Closely followed by creating excellently crafted content. Language is so powerful and I love how we can use this to really get across who we are and what makes us tick, even in a digital space. It should be like meeting us for real!

If you weren’t in the career you are and could choose to be doing anything you like, what would your dream job be?

Oh well – I’m a bit of a butterfly here! At various points I’ve wished I could be a landscape gardener, an interior decorator (my husband will snigger at this!) and, when I was a kid, I was convinced I was going to run a horse stable. Marketing had other ideas for me.

On the rainiest of days when you want to click your fingers and be somewhere else, where is the destination you’d head to?

Hands down, Canada.

If we met you in real life, or we end up chatting on LinkedIn, and we run out of work-related conversation, what should we chat to you about?

I’m a major chatterbox (my worst habit is interrupting people as I get too excited) so I’m sure we wouldn’t run out of work-related chat, but when I see your eyes glaze over, we could move the conversation on to gardening, hill walking, kayaking or the latest Jojo Moyes book!

Tell me your ideal Saturday – from morning to evening?

Hmmm! It’s so long since I’ve been in control of my Saturdays, I hardly dare imagine it – a cuppa in bed, then out for a walk to nowhere, ending in a café for French toast and a good read of the paper (old school). Pootle about in the garden and then catch up with pals at the local pub, which does a mean pizza and cocktails. In comparison, my actual Saturdays are filled with sequins, fake tan, muddy rugby boots, and being supporter in chief (and taxi mum)!

If your life could have a soundtrack what would be your song?

No idea. I’ve got well over 500 liked songs on my Spotify – from Annie’s Song by John Denver, to Step On by the Happy Mondays, Love Song by Sara Bareilles, Hold Back the River by James Bay and Happy by Pharrell Williams!
