Originally in marketing and events for investment banking organisations, she has worked all over the world in marketing and PR honing the kind of account management skills that bring brands, businesses and campaigns into larger-than-life relief. From solicitors and accountants, to nutrition and lifestyle, business support networks for women and boutique global drinks brands and merchants, Jules’s signature tenacity and creativity achieves the kind of first-class exposure and growth only possible of a truly expert marketing professional.
The delivery, oversight, project management and evaluation of campaigns from concept to completion keeps Jules busy across a range of Flourish clients, as well as contributing to our own business development. Understanding target audiences, segmenting customers and devising the engagement strategies that capitalise on reach and the all-important ROI in hitting goals are handled effortlessly by Jules as Account Manager. Understanding what’s important and crucial to SME business growth and success is fundamental to the role, involving Jules in everything from researching and writing content, devising tactical marketing plans across channels, and liaising with all involved creatives, such as media buyers, agencies and colleagues in the Flourish team.

Tell me about the part of your job which makes your soul happy – that you enjoy more than anything else.
I love every aspect of my role, and I enjoy very much how varied the client remits are – I don’t think there is any one thing. I enjoy the social media writing very much and getting to know the person behind the posts… One of the things that makes my soul happy is working with this incredibly kind collaborative team who are supportive and in turn working for our clients who make my job so very enjoyable. I absolutely love a good event too – that’s in my bones I guess.
If you weren’t in the career you are and could choose to be doing anything you like, what would your dream job be?
There are so many things that I would love to do but the thing that pulls me is working with the elderly or owning my own coffee shop, which I guess, inadvertently, would allow me both! I love listening to people, hearing what makes them tick and getting a glimpse of their life and hosting them, making them feel at home.
On the rainiest of days when you want to click your fingers and be somewhere else, where is the destination you’d head to?
I am an in-the-moment person. I don’t yearn for other places or other things. I would be happy where I am – if it were at home, I’d be content there. I would just find my peace right there. I also love the rain. I am not sure that was the answer you wanted!
If we met you in real life, or we end up chatting on LinkedIn, and we run out of work-related conversation, what should we chat to you about…
I would rather turn the conversation to the other person, to learn more about how they feel and what is actually going on beneath the surface. Chat to be me about hopes and dreams. Me – I would be happy trying to connect you to someone I know who would make a difference.
Tell me your ideal Saturday – from morning to evening
Oh that’s easy. Not get up until around 11am, lots of tea in bed. I would 100% want to walk my gorgeous spaniel Coco perhaps with a pal and a coffee. I love hosting people so it would then be pootling around in the kitchen sorting out a meal and then having my home filled with friends, with delicious drinks, good sounds and banter. My husband does a brilliant 80s pop quiz. I am so rubbish at the answers!
If your life could have a soundtrack what would be your song?
A Julesy tune has to be, Maniac from Flashdance. I also leg it to the dancefloor for Electric Dreams and, finally, I love a bit of All Together Now by the Farm. What an eclectic mix! I love London Grammar, Duran Duran (their new album is ace) and our next-door neighbour is the keyboard man for Above and Beyond! I am a huge fan of their chilled-out vibe.
