Get to know us…
Tell us about the part of your job which makes your soul happy – that you enjoy more than anything else.
I enjoy working over multiple marketing channels experiencing all aspects of the marketing journey, although I have a passion for the digital. I am still relatively new to the marketing world but hearing and seeing clients happy and informed by the work we do makes it worthwhile, and I love to see our work come together and produce effective outcomes.
If you weren’t in the career you are and could choose to be doing anything you like, what would your dream job be?
I would love to have been a professional or high-level basketball coach or player as I have been playing and coaching the sport since I was eight years of age. However, I would love to work for the NBA in America in a marketing role if coaching or playing wasn’t an option.
On the rainiest of days when you want to click your fingers and be somewhere else, where is the destination you’d head to? It can be anywhere in the world.
There are still a million and one places I’d like to visit but for sun it would be Mexico for the amazing food, but for the views and a place that means something, a sunny version of Scotland would be the place, maybe Skye.
If we met you in real life, or we end up chatting on LinkedIn, and we run out of work-related conversation, what should we chat to you about?
It’s not the most popular thing in Scotland and the UK but basketball tends to be one of my go-to chats, something I am very passionate about. But I like to talk about anything and everything and love to give my fair contribution to each conversation.
Tell me your ideal Saturday – from morning to evening?
Wake up early, walk a Munro (still waiting for good weather for this in 2022) and be back by 2/3pm. Go out for lunch to one of my favourite food places in Glasgow, maybe Topolabamba, Mezcal, or PizzaPunks. Find a nice outdoor beer garden for a few beers before going to a venue to watch some live music in the evening. All accompanied by the people I care about most, my girlfriend, family and friends.
If your life could have a soundtrack what would be your song?
Dear Maria, Count Me In, by All Time Low as it’s motivational and upbeat which is how I try to be.
