Flourish’s own Business Development Manager, Amanda Burns, continues to work with Glasgow Caledonian University, where she herself received a first-class degree and was the highest achieving student of her year. Recently delivering a lecture for the Masters module, International Marketing Management, Amanda also acts as an expert interviewee for students, reviews the MSc. Marketing syllabus and supports as a guest lecturer and student mentor.
“I chose to deliver a lecture on user experience,” says Amanda, who is delighted to be able to support and work with students at the university she loves, now that she is professional in the industry. “Every step of the journey is important and there’s a lot to talk about, from alignment of values, to retention, upselling and integration with offline touchpoints.”

As a marketing professional, it is Amanda’s responsibility to keep abreast of the industry and best practices. Speaking from, not only her own extensive qualifications and study, but years of marketing practice in the industry itself, spearheading results for clients across the B2B and B2C landscape, Amanda offers GCU students support, insight and knowledge through her valued contribution to the next generation.
