Our approach

Research & Workshop
An effective brand, is one which resonates with its audiences; one that attracts, engages, and reflects who you are as a business. And this takes knowledge.
During the research phase, we’ll assess key elements like your audience, your competitors, SWOT analysis, stakeholder engagement and user experience. Once we have all this information gathered (and we know it inside out) we’ll compile it into a concise and digestible document for you and your stakeholders to read through.
Then it’s time to collaborate on it. We’ll host a workshop with your team and ours where we work through the findings and explore what your brand needs to do and how it’s going to do it. This is the really fun stuff – the vision, values, story, proposition and personality; a creative session where everyone brings their imaginations to the table and no idea is too big or too small.
Development & Testing
With all those creative juices flowing from the workshop, we now take all the knowledge we’ve gained and start creating.
Mood boards, concepts, logo drafts, palettes and application examples are pulled together and presented to you, the client, for feedback.
With key concepts and starting points agreed, we then move on to consumer and stakeholder testing, gathering more objective feedback to really hone the concepts into the final product.
Refinement & Go-Live
Brand Architecture
Throughout all stages of our process, we like to remember the basics of brand architecture, tying everything back to four key elements. Keeping in mind the brand’s personality and the visual mechanisms we’ll use to display it; we need to continually ask ourselves:
What does the brand (and its products and services) DO for the customer?
How does the brand (and its products and services) make the customer LOOK?
How does the brand (and its products and services) make the customer FEEL?
How would the customer DESCRIBE the brand (and its products and services)?
Storytelling
Storytelling is a powerful thing. As humans, we love stories; narratives that help us make sense and gain understanding of the world around us.
Storytelling as a mechanism to deliver your brand is a necessity nowadays. Once you know what’s important to you and what you want to tell your customers, you can put it into a story that delivers it in the most engaging way to your audiences. Make it clear, make it emotive, and make it engaging – that’s how you’ll grab attention and evoke a reaction with the right people.
