There was glitz and glamour for Flourish on Wednesday night as Ellie, Eve and Sarah headed to the PRCA Dare Awards in Glasgow with our client Sepsis Research FEAT.
The charity was up for two awards for our joint PR campaign supporting Sepsis Awareness Month in September 2021. We knew our campaign was a strong one but we also knew we were up against some big names in Scottish PR. Even just to be shortlisted was a huge achievement for everyone involved.
That’s why were absolutely thrilled to walk away with the Charity/Not-for-Profit award!
We’re so proud to be supporting Sepsis Research FEAT’s amazing work funding ground-breaking medical research into sepsis and raising awareness of this deadly condition. From being appointed by the charity in 2018 to manage its marketing activity, in 2021 our remit was expanded to include PR.
Our first ever Sepsis Awareness Month PR campaign resulted in over 160 major pieces of coverage appearing across the UK, spreading the word about sepsis and featuring Sepsis Research FEAT. Major media outlets included BBC, ITV, Sun, Metro, Daily Express, Daily Record, Independent and Sunday Post.
But the campaign wouldn’t have reached as far as it did without the powerful stories shared by sepsis survivors and families who have lost loved ones to this devastating condition. Up and down the country, they told their stories to TV, radio, newspapers and websites with the aim of helping more people to learn about sepsis, resulting in more lives being saved.
A huge congratulations to everyone involved in the Sepsis Awareness Month 2021 campaign! We’re hard at work on activity for 2022 so watch this space.
